Vroeger had elke boerderij een aantal fruitbomen in het kader van zelfvoorzienend leven. Niet iedereen met fruitbomen is in de gelegenheid om al het fruit op te eten of te verwerken, waardoor dat vaak onder de boom belandt en wegrot. Hartstikke zonde!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Op de woensdagochtend wordt er van 9:30-12:00 geplukt voor de voedselbank. Het overige fruit zal geperst worden tot sap. Wie draagt er een steentje bij in de strijd tegen voedselverspilling. Het fruitplukken zal plaatsvinden in augustus en september met uitloop tot half oktober. Deelnemers mogen iedere week komen, maar dat hoeft niet. Wanneer er exact gestart wordt is afhankelijk van wanneer het eerste fruit rijp is. Fruit plukken met elkaar is erg gezellig. Leuk om als gezin, klas of bedrijfsuitje te doen en zo een lokaal project te steunen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het betreft onbespoten hoogstamfruitbomen. In verband met het beschikbare materiaal is aanmelden wel zo handig. Met dit project blijft de hoogstamfruitboom in de belangstelling, wordt er aandacht besteed aan voedselverspilling en mensen met elkaar verbonden tijdens een gezellige buiten activiteit.
